Marina d’Or is the largest holiday complex on the Costa Azahar in the province of Castellón (part of the Valencian Community in Spain). It is located in Oropesa del Mar, whose origins go back to Paleolithic times and where, later on, there were small Iberian, Roman and Arab settlements. The old town of Oropesa del Mar reached its height in the Middle Ages.

Nowadays Oropesa is a modern town enjoying a mild, spring-like climate all year round - as well as soft, sandy beaches that lead gently down to the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
